So manches Mal wähnt man sich in einer knackig-verdichteten Erzählung und stellt mit einem Male fest, dass die vermeintlich konventionelle Form sich längst schon aufgelöst hat und Raum gibt dem Unvorhergesehenen, dem Unbotmäßigen, dem wilden Einfall oder eben auch einfach nur dem Adäquaten. Gut zu sehen ist dieses Verfahren in „Gumnaam Din“ von Ekta Mittal, in dem die Suche nach einem Verschwundenen im Dunst, Nebel, Rauch und in der Dämmerung und Finsternis des Handlungsraums nicht nur reflektiert wird, sondern auch immer wieder selbst verloren geht.
