Filmmaker Jean-Sébastien Chauvin received his first Teddy Award at the 72nd Berlin International Film Festival for his Berlinale Shorts contribution „Mars Exalté“ (Exalted Mars).
The Teddy Awards jury, consisting of Robert Moussa, Joanna Ostrowska, Faridah Gbadamosi and Pepe Ruiloba, said the following about their decision at the Award Ceremony:
„A city at the break of dawn, traffic is flowing at full speed, a man is drenched in his sweat as he falls deeper into sleep. With the rise and fall of his breath we are pulled deeper into his world. A film that does not shy away from the beauty of human form, exhibiting both the sensuality and funcionality of the body.“
